Block City

In 2003 I visited the French fortified city of Carcassonne. From a distance, it looked like a toy castle assembled from blocks. I bought a wood block set of the city as a souvenir, and its towers, multi-layered walls, and triangular roof pieces inspired me to paint a version of it.
