Ideas & Process

Sketches in paint, all roughly 8"x10". When I have an idea, I'll make a quick pencil sketch that is usually only decipherable by me (definately not worth showing here). For ones I like, I'll paint it out on thick watercolor paper like the ones below. Then I ask my family and friends which they like, and use that feedback to help decide what to paint next. I always have way more ideas I want to paint than I can possibly get around to. When painting, I'll work on 2 or 3 at any given time, at different stages of completion. This is so they can dry before I do another layer, and I don't get burnt out on one idea. Click Image for Larger Version
